Echo Meter Touch 2 Pro Android handheld bat detector allows you to record and identify bats in real time on your own device. The software lets you listen, record and identify bats in real time. It offers high tech features and highest quality recordings of any handheld bat detector on the market today.
Superior Recording Quality – The Echo Meter Touch 2 Pro Ultrasonic Module produces extremely quiet and high quality recordings. Bat calls enter the Module through an integrated acoustical horn, to reduce unwanted echoes. The horn efficiently directs the sound into the Module’s ultra-quiet microphone element. Which is the same one as the SMM-U2 ultrasonic microphone, it captures frequencies of up to 192kHz. The Module then converts the sound into digital data and streams it to the Echo Meter Touch app.
Professional-Level Settings – The Echo Meter Touch app has superior software features specifically for professional biologists. You are able to select a sample rate of 256kHz or 384kHz. As well as control the recording amplitude by selecting one of three gain settings. Set specific trigger length, trigger window, trigger sensitivity and auto-trigger time. You can also choose an audio division ratio for RTE, heterodyne, and time-expansion listening modes. You can even enable/disable Nightly Sessions Mode and Real Time ID.
Free Echo Meter Touch App
The Echo Meter Touch APP is available free (see link below), it allows the Module’s streaming data into audio that you can hear, in real time. It employs the latest Kaleidoscope Pro classifiers that can instantly identify the most likely species of bat being detected. It uses GPS to mark recording locations and path, and of course, it saves the recordings as 16-bit WAV files. Which is easily accessible on a Mac or PC for further study.
Kaleidoscope Pro Auto-ID Classifiers – The app includes the same species classifiers offered in the desktop version of the Kaleidoscope Pro analysis software.
- Please note that an On The Go (OTG) Adaptor is required to use the Echo Meter Touch with Android devices with a USB C connection
