These funnel traps are for the safe catch & release of snakes. They operate under the impression of the trap being a hiding place. The opening is fairly large and intern the space through out the middle of the trap gets smaller. So the snake cant move backwards and gets stuck in the trap. The funnel is not sun proof, if you leave the trap in the sun it will need coverage or regular checks. Alternatively put it in a shady spot so the snake doesn’t get burnt. This trap is safe and non-harmful to the animal or user.
