Synthetic Fermented Egg (SFE)
Synthetic Fermented Egg (SFE)
Synthetic Fermented Egg (SFE) has a strong rotten egg odour. Which is excellent for attracting canines or predators in small quantities.
Fermented egg, originally developed as an insect bait, was investigated as a food-based coyote attractant. Which produced great results on foot trap set ups. Now it is used as an additive in lures to give an extra spice to the scent or on its own. SFE consists of a variety of fatty acids, amines, esters, and sulphurous compounds. An even simpler synthetic attractant (fatty acid scent, FAS) was developed from the seven volatile fatty acids found in fermented egg. Both the Fatty acid and Synthetic Egg are majorly pungent smells that travel large distances on the wind.
CAUTION: Handle with care. due to SFE being corrosive and flammable. It should be used in a well-ventilated area. Along with appropriate PPE such as gloves and eye protection when handling the lure.
