Black Logwood Dye (Crystal)

Black Logwood Dye Crystal is a powdered dye that when dissolved in water assists in enhancing the traps life span through protection from corrosion and degradation. Traps are also slightly coloured from the dye. Imported from America.

One pound (approx. 453grams) will treat 1-2 dozen large traps or 2-4 dozen smaller traps.  Use one pound of dye to 18-19 litres of water.

Wax can be applied over the top of dye for further protection and speed up the trap performance.

Simmer traps in a pot of water to remove scent, hang traps to dry once scent is removed. Discard of contaminated water and add a fresh pot of water, add the logwood dye to boiling water and simmer for 1 hour.
